Celebrating Recovery Day 2025 with Gratitude and Connection

On Sunday, September 7, our team at EmotionsBC joined thousands of community members in New Westminster for Recovery Day 2025 — the largest celebration of recovery in British Columbia. Read to the end to see some fun pictures from the day!
This annual event encourages everyone to come together, reflect, remember, and build hope for those impacted by mental health and substance use challenges.
Our EmotionsBC booth was a hub of conversation, connection, and compassion. Thanks to our incredible volunteers, we were able to:
  • Share resources and tools with families and caregivers
  • Give away some fun goodies like mental health stickers, bracelets, pocket hugs, stress balls, and more by spinning our prize wheel
  • Welcome new people into our community through our groups and programs
  • Spark meaningful conversations about support, resilience, and wellness
The day was full of energy, music, and inspiration, and we’re so grateful for the many people who stopped by to learn about our programs, share their stories, and celebrate recovery with us.
We want to extend a huge thank you to our volunteers, whose dedication and kindness made it possible for us to be present and engaged throughout the day. Recovery Day is about community, and our team is stronger because of each of you.
As we reflect on this amazing event, we’re reminded that recovery is not just possible — it’s something to be celebrated. Thank you for being part of this journey with us.
💙 With gratitude,
The EmotionsBC Team
