Dr. RJA Hogg and his wife Kathleen met at Pat Bay, Victoria while serving in the RCAF during the second World War. They were married in 1945 and moved to White Rock the following year, where they raised their family. As one of the area’s first physicians he drove daily to Royal Columbian Hospital while successfully lobbying for the building of the first White Rock Hospital. He belonged to multiple service organizations while both he and Kathleen passionately contributed to the community in meaningful ways. The fund established in his name honours their legacy. Organizations whose goals reflect the values they both lived by are carefully selected based on their mission to improve the health and wellbeing of the community.
EmotionsBC holds a deep sense of gratitude and honour to receive $7,000 from the Dr. Allan Hogg Foundation. Their kindness and generosity is what allows us to continue to support families and caregivers in our community who have loved ones struggling with their mental health.
