On a sunny Sunday morning, over 70 participants came together for EmotionsBC’s Walk for Mental Wellness. June 23rd was a day filled with unity, support, and a shared commitment to mental health.
Highlights of the Day
The event included inspiring speeches, and sharing personal stories about mental health. Participants walked a scenic route designed for all ages and abilities. Along the way, they enjoyed the sounds and sights of nature – and a bunny of two hopping by.
Volunteers, crucial to the event’s success, provided water and encouragement throughout the walk. Their dedication kept spirits high and the event running smoothly.
Fundraising Success
We are thrilled to announce that the event raised nearly $6,000 through registrations, donations, and sponsorships. These funds will support EmotionsBC’s programs and initiatives aimed at promoting mental health awareness and providing resources to those we serve.
Closing Ceremony and Gratitude
The day ended with top fundraisers being recognized and everyone was thanked for their contributions. *Special thanks go to the volunteers, sponsors, and participants.
Looking Ahead
Reflecting on this successful day, we are filled with gratitude and hope, integral parts of who EmotionsBC is at its core. The Walk for Mental Wellness demonstrated the power of community in supporting a vital cause. Thank you to everyone who walked, donated, and supported the event. Together, we are making a difference.
