A Message from our Founder + Executive Director – 2024 Year In Review
It’s hard to express in words what this year has brought EmotionsBC…and what’s easier for me is to rely on what comes up for me in terms of my feelings and emotions. Emotions are always my ultimate teacher!
I have an immense feeling of pride and respect for my team – my very small staff – and much bigger team of volunteers who have worked passionately and tirelessly. Our work depends on this team and without them, we wouldn’t be able to do the work we do. My gratitude also spills out to those who have believed in us and supported us by funding programs, sponsoring events, donating space and time all to help sustain our small grass roots charity. We thank you immensely!
We might be small but our impact is mighty! For every person who is supported by our various programs, at least five people in their immediate circles are impacted. Through community, education and dedication, we continue to support families and caregivers who have loved ones with mental illness (diagnosed or undiagnosed). Together we can support one another through love, kindness and skillful communication which can only mean one thing to me – a more hopeful future for all of us.
I’m wishing you all a holiday season of ease and self care. Remember, we all have mental health that needs our love, compassion and attention so please be kind to yourself ❤️
